The L.A. Lifestyle

I recently took a trip back down to my home city San Diego. More specifically a hometown of Mira Mesa central to all of San Diego 15 minutes from the beach, with access to all major Freeways. Make a trip down there for yourself cause you wouldnt believe how beautiful it really is in "Sunny San Diego" the rightfully nick-named city. Its home to one of the top ten beaches in the world, you really have to check them out.

The point of today's post is, the contrast of L.A.'s fastpaced "Hollywood" lifestyle, compared to the kick back, everythings running just 5 minutes behind mood that suits San Diego so well. Los Angeles would be a cut throat city if it didnt have a certain apathy about it, everyone's just a little too busy to care whats going on. People might get a little road rage about how you drive on the freeway here in L.A. but in reality theyre probably on the phone with somebody important and they forget all about in about 5 seconds.

Ride the Pineapple Express

Out of all the movies I have planned to go see this season Dark Knight, Iron Man , Wall-E, I think Pineapple Express will undoubtedly be the most enjoyable... Why you ask? How could it possibly be more exciting and entertaining than the Dark Knight the highest grossing movie of all time! Au contrair, monfrair! Pineapple Express will be the Highest movie of all time...

Lets start with the inevitable smoking before the movie. Me and my Cannabis Comrades and Cohorts plan on getting outrageously baked beforehand, the kind of bake-age that Mrs. Fields would be proud of... I plan on going to a few cannabis clubs in Hollywood that I have been tipped has the elusive Pineapple Express' strain and when I enter a club with said strain I will then purchase a gigantic bag of these precious precious flowers.

Wait.... What if I cant get this magical plant with these specific genetics? I will then have to settle for something Pineapple flavored instead.. It will be a sad day indeed.

The plan is to get a large group of incredibly stoned people to become a loose unorganized mob, and when we stand reeking of marijuana, united together infront of the movie theatres we and our snacks and our secondary snacks will try to brave the sober world and make our way to the theatre. The long trek to which theatre we're in shall be perilous and I'm positive we will all make a scene and look pretty conspicuous with our sunglasses on in the dark theatre, but hey this movie was made for us, by us... in a roundabout kind of way

Upon completion of this difficult mission I shall return, to inscribe a deeply felt review...
maybe while still medicated... :)
I'll leave you with one last question... How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop? The world may never know....

Ps. AMC Theatres Burbank 16 allows food to be brought in. They have a chipotle and a Cold Stone'd (haha) next door.

Wall-E

"After 700 years of doing what he was built for, he'll discover what he was meant for."

Pixar has taken animated movies to a gallactic level. The movie was a juggernaut of story, astounding visuals and effects. The only disappointment I had felt was how come I had'nt seen this movie sooner! My heart hasnt had an emotional ride like this in a while, I laughed some good laughs and even teared up a little at the end.

Without spoiling the movie ill sum it up in once sentence.
A lonely solitary robot with one directive, falls in love and does so many things he's never done before.

Pixar is 8 out 8 for their hits, Finding Nemo was pretty gripping, Toy Story was an instant classic, Incredibles is still one of my favorites of all time. Their box office numbers are fantastic and I have a few of their DVD's in my collection. Pixar should be around for awhile, it might even change to Pixar and Disney instead of Vice Versa.
